Your Full-Service Partner for Truss Design

When you work with L&L Manufactured Components, you’ll enjoy the benefits of having a full-service partner who can provide the complete continuum of truss design and manufacturing services. Since 1984, we’ve nurtured our reputation for reliability and quality, and our innovative approach is driven by our cutting-edge equipment. Once you submit your plans to us, you’ll begin working with our knowledgeable and highly experienced employees in the following departments.

Truss desigN FOR RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL

The manufacturing process begins with meticulous truss design. Our Engineering Department is staffed by truss design professionals who use the latest CAD software to meticulously develop all types of trusses for all types of building projects. We can provide truss design services for custom homes, multi-family apartment buildings, subdivisions, and all sorts of commercial buildings. In fact, you’ve driven past much of our work throughout Arizona without realizing it, as we are the truss design firm of choice for many of the major builders in the state.

All of our truss designs are approved for structural integrity by MiTek Engineering, a third party, for your peace of mind. Once you submit your plans, it will take only a few days to provide your estimate. Upon approval, we’ll begin the full truss design process, which may take up to three weeks, depending on complexity.

Equipment, Machinery & Production

Precision and accuracy are everything in truss design and manufacturing. We use the latest equipment to ensure that all of the truss pieces are measured and cut with utmost precision. With our cutting-edge technology, our production team is able to upload the plans directly to the machines, which then perform the cutting. This means there is a much lower possibility for mistakes, and consequently, you can trust that your trusses will fit as they were intended. From our sawyers to our truss builders and stackers, each member of our Production Department is committed to doing the job right every time.

Our component saws feature individually adjustable blade heads to create any desired angle or cratering. Our production team guides the lumber into the saw conveyor and the saw blade heads make the computer-controlled cut. Thanks to this technology, we’re able to manufacture large volumes of trusses quickly and without errors.

Our fleet of MiTek roller tables features a preliminary traversing roller. Its role is to partially press the plates. Then, they are transferred to the conveyor system, which completes the plate press.

We can manufacture trusses of virtually any size. Our A-frame gantries allow us to work with trusses up to 12′ tall and 65′ long. Operated by a two-man team, each gantry is operated by hydraulic motors. When trusses are too large for our roller tables, our gantry team gets to work.

Floor trusses are unique, and so they require technology specifically designed for them. Our MiTek roller for floor trusses features a jig framework of the perfect shape to create floor trusses. A traversing roller passes over the length of the floor truss to press the plates.

Quality Control

In addition to relying on world-renowned MiTek Engineering for third-party quality control, L&L Manufactured Components is proud to have our own onsite Quality Control Department. We emphasize the importance of quality control for every single project, because our mission is the complete satisfaction of our customers. Some of the issues that our quality control personnel check include the following:

Our Quality Control Department also double-checks the work of our packagers, ensuring that each truss package has its correct trusses and vents.

L&L Manufactured Components has passed the rigorous Truss Quality Auditing Program at Timber Products Inspection (TPI), an independent third party. TPI has found our facility in good standing and has authorized our quality control personnel to apply the GTI (General Testing and Inspection) quality mark to demonstrate that our trusses were manufactured to meet the stringent ANSI/TPI standards.

Safe and Efficient Delivery

For contractors, arranging for delivery of materials to the jobsite can sometimes be a hassle, particularly when the company delivers the wrong materials. At L&L Manufactured Components, we double-check everything to ensure our customers receive the correct order in full every time. We emphasize safety in all that we do, and the delivery process is no exception. In contrast to older delivery methods, our drivers use the latest trailer technology to deliver oversized loads safely and quickly. Our roll-off trailers gently slide the truss package onto the ground at the jobsite, preventing any possible damage. When you’re an L&L customer, you won’t have to worry about delivery delays affecting your worksite schedule.
